Development of Position Tracking Dosimetry and Ear Protector for Work Safety in Decommissioning or Operating of NPP

Abstract

Efforts to integrate the 4th industrial revolution technology into nuclear industry have been made in various fields such as security, control, medical care, safety, and etc. Developed position tracking dosimeter (ADR-POS) with wireless communication technology can secure the worker safety quickly in case of accident by monitoring the location and dose of the worker at the same time when dismantling or operating of nuclear power plant. In addition, we developed an alarm system for ear protector that delivers detected risks to workers in same time so that they can evacuate quickly. These technologies could be the important technologies to protect workers in unforeseen accident situations during the decommissioning of nuclear power plants.
