Investigation of the Lattice Physics Phenomena in the Canadian PT-SCWR Within Some Perturbed Scenarios

Abstract
Burnup has direct impacts on fuel composition and lattice behavior. In this paper, the effects of burnup (25 MWd/kg) on fuel, coolant and moderator temperature perturbations are investigated for the Canadian PT-SCWR 64-element fuel using the SCALE package. The different lattice cell behavior was examined and interpreted for the perturbed cases using the components of the 4-factor formula. Moreover, fuel, coolant, and moderator temperature coefficients were calculated in case of fuel burnup at 25 MWd/kg and compared with fresh fuel values.
