Abstract

Objective – flawless welds in less than one minute over similar and dissimilar materials including Titanium. Result? – Achieved, tested and repeatable. Forming 2 and / or 3 work pieces while metal is in semi solid state and in relative motion is a concept that has been around for over a decade. The crystalline structure of mother material, HAZ and fused area are near identical using no consumables. SSF and FuseRing is a one shot process that allows the entire work face to be fused together completely in one step. No annealing required. No plane of weakness.

Can be scaled 2” to 48” and application is global. Ideal for pipeline and refinery construction; an alternative to Orbital Welds in nuclear refurbishments.
