Abstract
Bruce Power is working with a consulting firm to capture and organize roles in terms of priorities best understood by the experienced employee. They use a trained analyst to facilitate a discussion focused on the employee and their role. Their successor also takes part in the interview. Questions around the major areas of responsibility, complexity of the work, relationships, critical functions and OPEX are provided beforehand. My paper will capture the methodology at a high level and explore in depth the experience of taking part as an experienced Shift Manager with 29 years in operations capturing my knowledge and sharing it with my successor. The knowledge will cover the operation of the station, outage management, two restart campaigns and internal and external relationships. This is extremely timely as this process is happening currently and will not be complete until May 15th at which point the paper will be submitted if the abstract is of interest.
