Preliminary Assessment of Resource Planning Optimization for a Reactor Physics Group
Main Article Content
Abstract
Despite the fact that the contents of the present paper somewhat deviate from the traditional themes of the CNS Annual Conferences, it covers an important aspect that actually supports the nuclear power generation in Canada. The operating CANDU stations look for support from their qualified suppliers in various areas of safety analyses as well as for operational supports. Depending on the size of the consulting group providing the services, the management of its resources to meet the client's demand within a set of timeframe and budget could be challenging. Through some examples, this paper demonstrates that such challenge could be transformed into a mathematical optimization problem and quasi optimal solutions can be found even when the constraints are very demanding.
