Abstract

Metal and metal oxide nanoparticles have attracted huge interest from the scientific and industrial communities because of their remarkable properties and diversity of applications. In this review, we examine their potential in interactions with radiation in water. This has potential implications and applications in nuclear medicine, radiation therapy, and use of nuclear waste. The review will focus mostly on applications related to radiation therapy and nuclear medicine based on published works from 2010 to 2018.
