Study on the Thermal Performance of the Fuel Assembly Under Low Flow Conditions
Main Article Content
Abstract
Small modular reactor ACP100 utilized the same fuel assembly (CF2 truncated forms) as large pressurized water reactor (LPWR), however, canned reactor coolant pump was adopted and its design flow rates was less than half of LPWR, which leads to much worse power-flow mismatch rate at accident conditions than that in LPWR. Thus, the thermal performance of the fuel assembly in ACP100 put forward higher requirements. The influence of mixing grid spacing and mixing grid layout on the thermal performance of the fuel assembly in ACP100 was analyzed in the present paper.
