Abstract

SEALER (Swedish Advanced Lead Reactor) is a small lead-cooled fast reactor operating on 19.9% enriched UO2 fuel. It is designed for commercial production of electricity and heat in the Canadian arctic. In this paper, we present the design of primary and secondary systems of SEALER and the associated set of transient analysis. The analysis is carried out using an updated version of BELLA, a lumped parameter code for dynamic simulation of lead-cooled fast reactors.
