SVBR-100: New generation nuclear power plants for small and medium-sized power applications size Power Applications

Abstract

Small nuclear power plants can become a new platform of the decentralized energy system, which will provide a new level of accessibility, safety and environmental friendliness. Small modular reactor with lead-bismuth coolant (SVBR-100) which is developing in Russia in the framework of public-private partnership consider as a solution for small and decentralized energy future. The paper presents SVBR-100 Power Plant key performance indicators as well as the current status and prospects of the SVBR-100 project.
